Guide
How much does a windshield replacement cost?
Short answer
It depends on your vehicle, but we give you one real number before we start, not a range. The main things that move the price are the type of glass, whether your windshield has features like a camera, rain sensor, heating, or acoustic layer, and whether it needs calibration. Text us a photo of your car and the damage and we will send back a real quote.
What actually drives the price
A basic windshield on an older car is at the low end. Price goes up with built-in features (sensors, heating, acoustic glass, heads-up display) and with ADAS calibration when your car needs it. A rear or side window is usually different again. This is why an honest quote needs your specific vehicle, not a generic number.
Repair vs replace
A small chip caught early is often a quick, low-cost repair instead of a full replacement, and repairs are sometimes covered with no deductible. Once a crack spreads past a certain size or into your line of sight, replacement is the safe call. We will tell you honestly which one you actually need.
No surprise fees
The number we give you is the number. If your car needs calibration, that is in the quote, not sprung on you at the end. And if using insurance is cheaper than paying cash, we will tell you (see our insurance guide).
